About The Position

Under general supervision, the incumbent independently facilitates all administrative and analytical functions related to citation processing services for the campus community, including review and processing of administrative review appeals, coordination of administrative hearings, contributing towards the development and implementation of ongoing policies, procedures, guidelines and reporting related to the program.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.
  • Valid CA Driver's License required.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.

Responsibilities

  • Independently facilitates review and processing of administrative appeals - Receives and processes citation appeal requests within prescribed deadlines and in accordance with campus procedures and applicable vehicle codes. Runs various reports and analyzes results to ensure processes were applied consistently and in compliance. Reports all problems and trends including but not limited to appeals and DMV or other system errors to the Operations Manager and works pro-actively to provide timely resolutions while maintaining compliance.
  • Development and implementation of ongoing policies, procedures, guidelines and reporting related to the program - Researches and remains current on applicable legislation and regulations as it pertains to Parking and Citation Processing. Serves as a liaison to the department in regards to advisement, understanding and interpretation of various state legislation pertaining to citations.
  • Coordination of Administrative Hearings & Court appeals for citation appeals - Provide oversight with regard to compliance with AB408 and CVC 40215 as related to administrative hearing requirements. Provides ongoing support to help ensure integrity of administrative hearing process and impartiality of administrative hearing officer and the appeal process. Responsible for administrative hearing requests and ensures that citation payment has been made by customer or that a Financial Hardship Waiver has been completed.
  • Oversight for citation-related administrative functions - Serves as point of contact between campus and DMV for citation related matters, including handling of abstract processing and issuance for DMV holds and releases. Provides citation related information to campus parking enforcement in support of enforcement related activities, including verification of information pertaining to scofflaw offenders that might require immobilization and or towing.
