About The Position

This full-time position partners directly with Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officers to provide on-scene crisis intervention, behavioral health assessment, engagement, care coordination, and follow up for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises. The role involves responding with CIT officers to behavioral health-related calls, providing crisis intervention, assessment, lethality screening, resource linkage, follow-up, and collaboration with hospitals, jails, and community partners. The position also requires maintaining program statistics and performing all other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field.
• Ohio licensure (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and required automobile insurance.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.
• Ohio behavioral health license or eligibility within 6 months.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and minimum auto liability coverage as required.

Responsibilities

• Responds with CIT officers to behavioral health related calls.
• Provides crisis intervention, assessment, lethality screening, resource linkage, follow up, collaboration with hospitals, jails and community partners, maintains program statistics, and performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.
• Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.
