About The Position

Build the team, shape the process, and lead the movement toward a more sustainable future. As the Circularity Team Lead, you will lead our circularity initiative at the Irving Repair Center, spearheading efforts to maximize efficiency and sustainability. This pivotal role entails three main workstreams: managing a dynamic team responsible for receiving, meticulously deconstructing tools, and selecting premium components for future use; managing our apprenticeship program; and managing critical functions of our refurbished tool donation program. Your leadership, communication skills, and ability to work cross-functionally will be instrumental in maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring smooth operations. This position requires reporting key performance indicators locally, regionally, and internationally. With ambitious growth projections, you will need to bring innovation, creativity, and adaptability to the table as you navigate this evolving landscape. Reporting to the Tool Service Center Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our circularity initiative forward.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Zero (0) to two (2) years of proven leadership experience in manufacturing or operations environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic work environments and manage shifting priorities.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Collaborative mindset with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain a skilled team of receiving personnel and tool deconstruction specialists, driving growth strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Strategically manage inventory levels to ensure continuous component availability and maintain excellent accuracy metrics.
  • Mentor and coach team members and apprentices to foster continuous improvement in skills and performance, proactively addressing quality issues through regular audits.
  • Supervise seamless shipment of surplus spare parts to regional warehouses, optimizing logistical operations.
  • Provide regular reports on key performance indicators to monitor progress and facilitate enhancements, conducting thorough data analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate updates and insights to stakeholders, fostering collaboration internally and externally.
  • Cultivate deep understanding of SAP systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Demonstrate agility in adjusting priorities based on project requirements, ensuring timely execution.
  • Provide hands-on coaching to optimize spare parts utilization and success, driving implementation of improvement initiatives targeting safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with global repair centers to develop cohesive strategies, defining operational best practices for program expansion.
  • Conduct benchmarking of internal operations against industry standards, actively contributing to the local leadership team to foster morale and optimal working environment.
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs for new team members and apprentices, ensuring seamless onboarding processes.
  • Partner with Manager, Social Impact, Education & Workforce to select candidates for apprenticeship program.
  • Collaborate with Manager, Social Impact, Education & Workforce to create apprenticeship program calendar and plan & execute apprentice experience.
  • Maximize operational efficient to keep up with NGO demand for tools and apprentices.
  • Trusted partner with customers, Social Impact team, internal and external volunteers and NGOs.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.
