About The Position

Step into a pivotal position as a Senior Circuit Design Engineer within the Command Launch Assembly (CLA) Carrier Card Assembly (CCA) team at Missiles & Fire Control (MFC). You will drive the electronic hardware powering the Next Generation Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) and advanced precision engagement systems for U.S. and allied defense. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in circuit card design, integration, and testing (digital, power, analog/mixed-signal, or FPGA-based boards)
  • Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise for schematic capture
  • Hands-on experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent circuit simulation tools
  • Proven ability with signal integrity tools such as Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MFC circuit card design and Design Assurance processes
  • Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704)
  • Experience with Xilinx/AMD FPGA families (UltraScale, Versal)
  • High-speed design expertise (PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, SERDES, DDR4/5)
  • MATLAB proficiency for analysis and simulation
  • Knowledge of MOSA and WOSA architectures
  • Experience with CAMEO requirements management tools
  • Rigidflex circuit card design experience
  • Environmental qualification testing background
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end circuit card design, translating system requirements into robust, production-ready hardware
  • Define performance, power, and interface requirements, producing clear, traceable technical documentation
  • Create schematic capture, PCB layouts, and bills of materials using top-tier tools such as Altium and Cadence
  • Run simulation, signal integrity, and power analysis to validate design decisions early in development
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot prototype hardware, iterating designs to meet verification and validation milestones
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and SWaP C compliance
  • Prepare and deliver technical briefings, design reviews, and status updates to leadership and customers
  • Manage configuration control, documentation, and design history within the PLM system
  • Support environmental qualification (vibration, shock, thermal, radiation) and drive design improvements
