About The Position

Boeing is seeking aspiring mechanics to join their Circuit Card Assembly Apprenticeship program in Huntsville, AL. This is a full-time, company-sponsored on-the-job training program designed to equip new team members with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The 10-week program focuses on developing the skills required for a Circuit Card Assembly Specialist, including soldering electronic components, performing simple rework and modifications, and operating shop tools. Upon successful completion, apprentices will have demonstrated the ability to perform the work of a Circuit Card Assembly Specialist and may have the opportunity to convert to a union-represented Circuit Card Assembly Specialist position.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience using basic hand tools
  • Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person status required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using basic precision measuring tools
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Soldering of electronic components such as integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors, and connectors.
  • Performing simple rework and modification to circuit card parts and assemblies.
  • Operating shop tools and equipment including soldering iron and hand-held tools.
