About The Position
Shermco Canada is looking for a driven, safety-focused Breaker Shop Technician to join our growing Saskatchewan Shop Services team in Saskatoon, SK. Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma required.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Valid driver's license and clean abstract required.
- Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects as required.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
Nice To Haves
- Background in a relatable trade such as Mechanic, Electrician and/or Industrial Mechanic is considered an asset.
- Experience in manufacturing, production assembly/disassembly is considered an asset.
- Industrial safety training and certifications are considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Remanufacture, overhaul, rebuild, retrofit, troubleshoot, test, service, repair, teardown and assembly of breakers, contactors, panels, switchgear and electrical apparatus, including but not limited to: Low, medium and high voltage circuit breakers, including but not limited to manufactures such as GE, Westinghouse, Powell, ABB, ITE, Eaton etc.
- Low, medium and high voltage switchgear
- Low, medium and high voltage panels, MCC’s, contactors, electrical apparatus and components
- General housekeeping duties including but not limited to sweeping, organizing, inventorying and maintaining workspace, breaker shop designated area and related assets.
- Develop hands-on experience and proficiency through on-the-job and training and experience.
- Perform all duties to a level of competency expected of a Breaker Shop Technician.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
