About The Position

We are seeking a CIM Lead with extensive experience in the electric utility industry to drive our Common Information Model (CIM) strategy and architecture. This role involves leading system integration, providing technical leadership, and establishing robust model governance to support grid modernization and innovation. You will be instrumental in ensuring seamless data exchange and leveraging CIM for digital transformation within the utility sector.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the electric utility industry.
• At least 3 years focused on CIM design and implementation.
• Proven experience with IEC 61970 and IEC 61968 standards and their application in utility environments.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect, CIMTool).
• Hands-on experience with data exchange formats (e.g., XML, RDF, JSON).
• Familiarity with utility systems such as SCADA, DMS, EMS, GIS, or OMS (Outage Management System).
• Experience with Network Analysis Model (NAM) maintenance on OSI EMS.
• Experience with RTU database creation and maintenance.
• Experience with TMS database modeling.
• Experience with one-line display support.
• Knowledge of EMS / SCADA / TMS CIM.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern CIM-compliant data models aligned with utility business and operational needs.
• Drive system integration and interoperability across enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data exchange using IEC 61970/61968 standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guide engineering teams.
• Collaborate with business, IT, and operations stakeholders.
• Establish and manage model governance and quality assurance processes, including lifecycle management, validation, version control, documentation, and compliance.
• Support grid modernization and innovation by leveraging CIM for digital transformation, advanced analytics, and emerging utility technologies.
• Maintain Network Analysis Model (NAM) on OSI EMS.
• Perform RTU database creation and maintenance.
• Engage in TMS database modeling.
• Provide one-line display support.
• Utilize EMS / SCADA / TMS CIM knowledge for system maintenance and modeling.
