About The Position

As a cigar retail attendant, you will be responsible for creating “Real Life Magic” for our guests by providing extraordinary guest service. You will go above and beyond in all situations. The cigar retail attendant plays a crucial role in our guests' experience by serving guests with style, courtesy, & a sense of fun with a focus on tobacco & fine spirits.

Requirements

  • Friendly and out-going personality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts – including holidays, weekends, evenings, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and customers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a guest service role.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Tobacco knowledge preferred
  • Strong understanding of hospitality industry helpful

Responsibilities

  • Fulfills guest's cigar order requests in the Cigar Lounge or other areas as assigned, by taking & processing orders, and serving them in a friendly, quick and efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of POS – point of sales & usage.
  • Adheres to SOP for cash handling & other tender transactions.
  • Ensure established inventory are maintained.
  • Allow no more than two (2) butts in an ashtray before it is changed.
  • Works collegially with supervisors, bartenders, and other cocktail servers, & cigar servers to prepare and deliver drinks quickly and courteously.
  • Understands, complies with, & enforces all tobacco awareness procedures and relevant laws.
  • Utilizes proper cash handling procedures & adheres to established POS procedures & pricing structure for every drink order.
  • Maintains a clean, well-organized and properly stocked service area at all times.
  • Responsible for setting up their workspace, including but not limited to stocking necessary items needed for guest use, cleanliness of workspace & outlying spaces, such as the patio or Hardy room.
  • Assists bourbon tastings when needed, including but not limited to set up & clean up.
  • Empowered to handle guest concerns & if necessary, solicits involvement & support from leadership.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Nemacolin happenings, daily events & answer guests questions accordingly.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks & maintain collective & genuine in high volume situations.
  • Adheres to SOPs, including but not limited to phone etiquette, personal appearance, timing & attendance, guest interactions.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
