The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure. The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies.

Requirements

  • Required bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management (or equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of industrial thermal insulation installation for cold and hot services.
  • NACE coatings inspector certification preferably,
  • Knowledge of underground pipe insulation & coatings.
  • Experience with survey coordination and as-built management
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical equipment drawings and pipe isometrics.
  • Experience with quantity tracking and field reporting
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with QA/QC inspections and testing requirements

Responsibilities

  • Supports field execution of coating application, thermal insulation on pipes & equipment, and fireproofing.
  • Responsible for technical coordination, quantity tracking, inspection support, formal release to the next discipline, and ensuring work is executed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and schedule requirements.
  • Prepare construction drawings and sketches.
  • Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.
  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
  • Prepare the earning plan for thermal insulation, fireproofing as required.
  • Leads the verification of commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
  • Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
  • Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
