About The Position

This is a full-time position on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 4 PM to 12 AM. The CI Press Helper will assist in operating printing equipment and related auxiliary tools to produce labels that meet or exceed customer quality expectations. This role involves maintaining and overseeing equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions and will be heavily involved in troubleshooting day-to-day printing issues. The primary focus is on 'rolls on and rolls off' operations, but responsibilities are not limited to this.

Requirements

High School Diploma equivalent
Demonstrated insight into mechanical and process analysis
Must communicate in both verbal and written matters
Ability to work overtime and any schedule that management deems necessary to maintain production
Possesses organizational skills with the ability to exercise independent decision-making in a demanding environment as well as take direction from the Press Operator
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally within the work unit and shift.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions on tasks.
Ability to focus on goals, metrics, and results.
Self-starter who takes ownership and accountability for self and department.
Uses resources efficiently, effectively, and timely.

Responsibilities

Assist in operating the printing equipment and related auxiliary tools.
Print labels that match or exceed the quality expected by the customer.
Maintain and oversee equipment to ensure that they are well maintained and in good operating conditions.
Troubleshoot day-to-day issues related to printing.
Conduct daily safety inspection of work area and addresses noted issues.
Operate the press in a safe manner following safety and PPO rules.
Analyze and follow the press schedule, plan what is needed for completion of a work order.
Utilize all auxiliary tools installed at the press for process control and traceability.
Communicate and share information about experiences and troubleshooting.
Perform corrective actions in a timely manner.
Identify and segregate any non-conform product.
Provide proactive assistance to improve process, methods, equipment, and materials.
Maintain permanent control of the printing process.
Ensure quality and productivity.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
