About The Position

The Continuous Improvement Process Engineer processes planning, launching the manufacturing of new products, rolls-out new manufacturing technology and supports/develops the process CI activity. Responsible for manufacturing process development of air filter parts, continuously improving efficiency and quality performance by optimizing manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent education and experience in the field of Engineering
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in Production Planning
  • Knowledge of Lean Production Principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge in APQP tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, etc.)
  • Proficient use of IT-tools (MS Office, cProjects, CIMDATABASE, SAP…)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills and ability to support a team environment
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to productively work alone or in a team environment
  • Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Self-initiative and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong understanding of safety requirements
  • Must be able to read, understand and comply with written and verbal instructions, company processes and procedures and safety policies

Responsibilities

  • Supervises launching performance and takes leading role for project transfer
  • Supports the CI process team for process improvements and quality improvements
  • Participates in the activities of project in RFQ phase, provides process data etc. information
  • Determines and develops the manufacturing concept including process layout (considering lessons learned from prototyping phases)
  • Specifies required machines, tools and fixtures respecting available standards
  • Defines required process schedule and personnel
  • Verifies and confirms manufacturing feasibility of product
  • Setup and update Standardized Work Chart
  • Conducts Process FMEA and contributes to Design FMEA
  • Checks available and required equipment and prepares capex request for required capital equipment and obtains approval
  • Develops the process documentation required by the systematic standard and/or other applicable standards
  • Ensures fulfillment of (short term and long term) process capability and equipment safety requirement
  • Takes lead of project sample manufacturing, include internal performance test
  • Leads new process/technology roll out in team
  • Contributes to project success by regular attendance of project team meetings, reporting of status and co-operation with other team members
  • Additional duties as assigned
