About The Position

Booxi is a platform that enables businesses to manage and measure in-store customer experiences, driving digital intent to qualified store traffic. With over 8,500 points of sale already using Booxi, including major brands like Dior, Hermès, Sephora, and L'Oréal, the company operates in 103 countries from its offices in Montreal and Paris. Booxi is expanding its European presence and entering the US market. The company is seeking a CI/CD & Release Architect to enhance its delivery architecture, making it a self-service platform for developers, ensuring smooth production releases, and maintaining a secure and efficient software chain.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, or platform engineering in a SaaS production environment.
  • In-depth mastery of GitHub Actions, with the ability to diagnose slow or unstable pipelines.
  • Experience deploying and operating workloads on GCP (Cloud Run, Artifact Registry, IAM, Cloud SQL, MySQL).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code with Terraform and comfortable with Docker.
  • Proven experience transitioning a team from manual or fragile deployments to full automation.
  • Daily use of AI to aid programming and understanding of how it changes workflows.
  • Ability to articulate the value of platform initiatives to product managers or executives, discussing time-to-market, risk, and costs, and structuring a roadmap.
  • Native or professional-level French and functional English (spoken and written).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of GitOps workflows on Kubernetes (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Experience with database migration automation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Structure the CI/CD function at Booxi by setting standards, documenting learnings, and creating conditions for growth.
  • Architect GitHub Actions workflows across all repositories, emphasizing reusable workflows and composite actions.
  • Accelerate build times through parallelization, Docker layer caching, and selective test execution.
  • Secure the software supply chain using Workload Identity Federation, secret management, signed images, and vulnerability scanning, avoiding static keys.
  • Replace manual approvals with automated security and compliance checks.
  • Build progressive releases (canary, blue/green, feature flags) on Cloud Run with automated health checks and telemetry-triggered rollbacks.
  • Orchestrate environment promotion from development to production, including semantic versioning, changelog generation, and release verification across microservices.
  • Assist teams with zero-downtime schema migrations, trunk-based development, and GitOps workflows.
  • Measure and visualize platform velocity using DORA metrics for both developers and management.
