About The Position

We are looking for individuals who speak both Chuukese and English fluently, and are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the community by helping those who do not speak English. If you meet the requirements listed below and are looking for the flexibility of working on an as-needed basis, we are interested in seeing your resume. This Is For In Person Interpreting.

Requirements

• Fluent in both Chuukese and English.
• Have informal or professional interpretation experience.
• Have at least a two-year degree (or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Nice To Haves

• Interpreting Certification
• 6 months experience
• No experience required (you will need to pass training and testing)

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services between Chuukese and English speakers.
• Assist individuals who do not speak English in their interactions within the community.
