About The Position

Movement Church in Port Charlotte, Florida, is seeking a church planter in residence to help extend its Kingdom impact by planting a church in partnership with the Alliance Southeast. The goal is for the new church to become a fully mature congregation within the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA). The residency is a two-year, full-time staff position at Movement Church. Its final six months will focus on building a core team and launching the church, with access to existing campus facilities for training and soft-launch programs and services. The goal is for the role to continue as a full-time staff position as the planting pastor of the resulting church. The resident will be coached and developed in Movement’s ministry model and culture, with additional coaching from the Alliance Southeast in disciple making, leadership development, soul care, and fundraising methods. Applicants must be able to meet C&MA licensing and ordination requirements.

Requirements

Experience leading at an executive level in churches of 200 or more.
A heart for reaching the unchurched and people far from God.
Solid communication and people skills.
Ability to form and execute a clear ministry strategy.
Previous ministry leadership experience.
Ability to meet C&MA licensing and ordination requirements.
At least 30 hours of theological education completed at an accredited school or through a C&MA-approved program.

Responsibilities
