About The Position

The Communications Associate will manage departmental projects, edit existing designs, create social media graphics, write copy for social posts, and collaborate with Communications department team members and ministries to pursue the mission and vision of Citizens Church. Position: Full-time / Hourly / Benefits Location: Plano, Texas Reports to: Communications Director GENERAL REQUIREMENTS A flourishing personal relationship with Jesus as exhibited by the fruit of the Spirit Free from addiction or life-dominating sin; a commitment to living beyond reproach Affirmation and upholding of Citizens Church’s Doctrines & Distinctives (Beliefs) A passion for the mission to Enjoy God, Love People, and Make Disciples Compliance with Citizen Church’s employee policies and procedures Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements Flexibility of schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed by the ministry Must demonstrate a clear background check Perform other duties as required KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES Manage projects using Asana Create and design various materials for digital and print media Perform quality assurance processes for communication projects Collaborate with graphic designers and ministries to develop, coordinate, and complete projects Develop content and manage social media communications Update and edit webpages and church app pages Edit video and photos for digital media formats

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in design/marketing or related field or currently pursuing degree in one of these areas
  • 1-2 years experience with social media content development
  • Experience with project management, preferably Asana, but not required
  • Direct experience using social media management tools (Hootsuite)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google
  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Participate in all staff activities (i.e. staff meeting, staff prayer, staff retreat, and restore)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro), or equivalent digital media editing tools a plus
  • Experience with various website platform and applications
