About The Position
The Salvation Army is seeking a Christmas Kettle Driver to assist with delivering and picking up kettles and stands as directed. This role also involves delivering and picking up other Christmas-related materials and personnel as needed. The position is temporary/seasonal and requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check. The driver must be knowledgeable of the service areas, able to drive in various weather conditions, and possess knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance. A key responsibility includes maintaining the security of kettles and assisting with record-keeping.
Requirements
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License & pass a background check.
- Must be clean, neat, and courteous.
- Be knowledgeable of the areas that are to be serviced.
- Must be able to drive in all kinds of weather conditions.
- Have knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Dropping off and picking up kettles on a daily basis and deliver to and from designated locations.
- Maintain proper security for kettles.
- Assist with proper record-keeping of kettle systems, to include kettle worker timesheets.
- Fill in as a Bell Ringer when needed on a daily basis.
- Check out the condition of vehicle daily and ensure that it is properly cleaned and mechanically maintained. Inspection report and mileage log must be maintained and submitted weekly to supervisor.
- As needed, will assist with delivery and pick-up of all Christmas related materials and personal.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
