This role is responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating, and monitoring employee and volunteer bell ringers to ensure adequate staffing for all kettle locations. The coordinator will manage records and reports related to the program, interview and select staff and volunteers, and maintain communication with them throughout their service. The position also involves preparing records for daily kettle income, reporting on the program's status, and recognizing workers. Additionally, the coordinator will plan and prepare special events, interact with community leaders, drive Salvation Army vehicles to manage kettle locations and supplies, and assist with counting, recording, and depositing funds. The role requires an understanding of The Salvation Army's mission and Christian principles, with duties performed both in and out of the office, often in various weather conditions. A significant portion of the work time involves driving to and from kettle locations.
