About The Position

Provide transportation and coordination for kettle season. In doing so maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers and supervisors. This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors and clients; respect of others’ property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers and supervisors.

Requirements

1-year related experience with a good knowledge of the area.
Valid Driver’s license and good driving record.
Clearance of TSA MVR check.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others.
A leader who uses diplomacy and good judgment in working with others.
Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self-starter.
An attention to detail.
A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
Willing to promote the mission of The Salvation Army.
An ability to work with money.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Transport Bell Ringers and kettles to and from sites.
Helps to maintain equipment, checking that all kettle workers are clean and presentable.
Provide badges to workers when dropped off.
Coordinate with Kettle Coordinator/Corps Officer on all disciplinary problems.
Log drop off and pick up time of Bell Ringer on route sheet.
Conduct periodical site checks throughout the day to ensure that workers are working.
Assist with daily counting of monies as needed.
Secure monies at all times.
Ensure compliance with all procedures related to assignments.
Other duties as assigned.
