About The Position

This is a seasonal position from November to December, requiring orientation and work to begin the second week of November. The role involves driving vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for the Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts, and/or for the Christmas Kettle program to transport bell ringers to designated worksites. The driver is responsible for the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years driving experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to operate commercial equipment.
• Ability to perform general cleaning activities for building.
• Ability to safely transport employees in a van.
• Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25 – 50 lbs) and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs) materials and donations.

Responsibilities

• Drives vans to transport bell ringers to kettle work sites and picks them up at designated work sites back to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from assigned locations to pick up gifts and take them to the Christmas warehouse and/or Corps, organizing schedule pick-ups by the most direct route.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to homes, agencies, churches, and other designated locations to pick up gifts, stockings, etc., for delivery to the Corps.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from Drive-thru and/or drop-off events at Malls or other assigned locations.
• Maintains cleanliness of truck and/or van inside and outside.
• Assists with janitorial and general clean-up work at the Corps, warehouse facility, or assigned location as needed.
• Assists with routing of traffic, when necessary, at the Corps and/or Area Command warehouse locations during Christmas Angel Tree distribution.
• Assists with setting up trees, tables, and stands for Christmas display and disassembling them at the end of the Christmas Season.
• Performs other related work as required.
