About The Position

This position is responsible for driving vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites. The driver ensures the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times. This role involves outdoor work with exposure to changing weather conditions and potential environmental factors. Employees are expected to uphold the religious mission of The Salvation Army.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years driving experience
• Valid Texas Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Drives vans to transport bell ringers to kettle work sites and picks them up at designated work sites, returning them to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from assigned locations to pick up gifts and take them to the Christmas warehouse and/or Corps, organizing pick-ups by the most direct route to arrive at destinations according to schedule.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to homes, agencies, churches, and other designated locations to pick up gifts, stockings, etc., for delivery to the Corps.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from Drive-thru and/or drop-off events at Malls or other assigned locations.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the truck and/or van, both inside and outside.
