About The Position

Assist in coordinating the operation of all Special Events or Leisure Experience activities (i.e., ICE!, Best of Florida Christmas, SummerFest, etc.). This includes checking the status of operations, lighting, AV, cleanliness, and system operation, and correcting any aesthetic deficiencies. The role involves following training guidelines to support the direction of Special Events Manager and Assistant Managers, and monitoring and assisting with training for all Special Events employees. Responsibilities also include learning and operating software systems used in events (e.g., ticketing, retail, inventory, space usage) and resolving financial, inventory, and numeric discrepancies. Adherence to company policies and procedures is crucial, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information are also key. The role requires welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guest service needs, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Effective communication is necessary, speaking with others using clear and professional language and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals are essential, as is complying with quality assurance expectations and standards. Identifying and recommending new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings is encouraged. The position requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or entire work shifts, and to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be requested.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
