About The Position

Penguin Random House is offering a 10-week paid, remote internship with the Christian Editorial department in its Children’s division, working with faith-based children’s titles published by the WaterBrook imprint under Random House Children’s Books. The internship provides exposure to publishing and its business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series. Interns work 28 hours per week and are paid $21 per hour. The position is remote for candidates residing in the United States who can work primarily on Eastern Time. The internship focuses on editorial work for Christian, faith-based children’s books, from board books through YA. Interns may evaluate submissions and write reader’s reports, learn editorial administrative tasks, and attend virtual editorial meetings, offering insights based on their reading and in response to editors’ submissions. The program runs June 7, 2027, through August 12, 2027.

Requirements

Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2028; college enrollment or a degree is not required to apply.
Able to work 28 hours per week throughout the program.
Available and committed to working from June 7, 2027, through August 12, 2027.
Must reside in the United States for the duration of the internship.
Must be over 18 years old.
Interest in children’s faith-based Christian publishing, from board books through YA.

Responsibilities
