About The Position

Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange, has an opening for a Choral/Vocal Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Choral and Vocal Music, the Choral/Vocal teacher supports the instructional, operational, and performance needs of the Choral and Vocal Music Program. This position provides classroom instruction, co-teaching, and vocal support for choral ensembles; may serve as sole teacher for designated instructional days and assigned courses (AP Music Theory and Handbells, if offered); and assists with sectionals, voice lessons, and substitute coverage as needed. The role also supports the administrative coordination of program events, trips, budgets, communications, materials, and performances while advancing the mission and values of Mater Dei High School.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
• California Single Subject Teaching Credential.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching in Music Education.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.
