About The Position

Assist the Director of Choral Activities with administering the choral program, which includes three choirs. The graduate assistant attends and assists with choir rehearsals, maintains the Choral Library, and supports choral events and tours. The position may also involve conducting and directing rehearsals when requested or when the Director is absent.

Requirements

• Possess an undergraduate degree in music.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Choral Activities in administering the choral program as necessary.
• Attend and assist with rehearsals of Chorale, Chamber Singers, and Collegiate Choir as requested.
• Maintain the Choral Library.
• Attend and assist the Director of Choral Activities during All-State Choral Weekend in the spring.
• Help plan and coordinate Chorale Tour and other tours and run-outs as required.
• Attend and assist in conducting class as requested.
• Direct choral rehearsals and sectional rehearsals in the absence of the Director as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
