About The Position

The Chocolate Formulator is responsible for maintaining chocolate batches which support chocolate depositing and enrobing operations. They also maintain accurate formulation and lot tracing information, as well as minimizing waste. Other duties include maintaining a clean and safe work environment, maintaining accurate inventories, and supporting a team-oriented atmosphere in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Performing physical activities that require use of hands/wrist, walking, bending, balancing, twisting reaching, lifting a minimum of 50+ pounds (Less 20% of time) and standing up to 10 hours.
  • Working near moving mechanical parts.
  • Will be working in dust noise and varied temperatures (65˚- 85˚).
  • Bakery Candy Kitchen Food Safety, Dress Code and Sanitation requirements must be followed.
  • Flexibility to schedule changes.
  • This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.
  • Honest and respectful communication.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma, GED Certificate or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Some previous work-related experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assure safe and efficient operations and produce acceptable quality products at or above standard.
  • Work with or support a team environment in manufacturing.
  • Maintain accurate formulation and lot tracing information.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and minimize scrap/waste.
  • Alert supervisor to inventory shortages that affect production flow.
  • Follow all safety practices.
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.
