About The Position
The Chiropractor provides chiropractic care to patients, including evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal and spine-related conditions, patient education, and ongoing wellness support. The Joint Chiropractic’s operating model provides support with marketing, insurance administration, and business administration so doctors can focus on patient care. This is a part-time opportunity with a flexible schedule and a stated competitive salary of $45–$55 per hour. Company-paid malpractice insurance and opportunities for advancement across the nation are also listed. The position is with a franchisee of The Joint Corp.; if hired, the franchisee will be the sole employer and independently sets employment terms, including wages and benefits, which may vary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college (four years).
- Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
- Passing scores for Parts I, II, III, and IV from the NBCE; a recent NBCE SPEC exam is an acceptable alternative for Part IV.
- Valid DC license in the applicable state.
- Full eligibility for malpractice insurance in the applicable state.
Responsibilities
- Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories, questioning, observing, and examining them, and reviewing x-rays as indicated.
- Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine related conditions.
- Perform manual adjustments to the spine or other articulations to correct the musculoskeletal system where necessary.
- Educate patients about the quality-of-life benefits of routine chiropractic care and provide a recommended course of treatment.
- Maintain accurate case histories and timely patient records.
- Obtain and record patients’ medical histories as indicated.
- Arrange for diagnostic x-rays when medically necessary.
- Analyze x-rays to locate sources of patients’ difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
- Provide patient chiropractic care and education.
- Build positive doctor-patient relationships.
- Sell membership packages.
