About The Position

The Medcan Clinic is recruiting for a licensed chiropodist to join our high-performing and fast-growing team of practitioners within Medcan’s Sports Medicine, Therapy and Rehabilitation service. This is an Independent Contractor position seeking a two-day (half days) commitment with the possibility to build to full days as volume grows. The specific schedule/hours will be mutually determined and has some flexibility. Medcan is dedicated to equity, diversity and inclusion. Requirements

  • DCh, DPodM, or DPM credentials
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
  • Significant experience in dealing with varied orthopaedic foot concerns is essential
  • Minimum two years’ experience
  • Superior organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Additional chiropody/podiatry related qualifications are an asset (ie. Foot Manipulation Therapy)

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based foot, ankle, and general lower limb musculoskeletal conservative care.
  • Demonstrate exceptional clinical care practices and professionalism
  • Integrate chiropody/podiatry services into an existing collaborative practice environment.
  • Work alongside physicians, physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, massage therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and other chiropodists.
  • Emphasize inter-professional collaborations through effective communication and coordinated treatment plans.
