About The Position

Language Trainers is seeking a Chinese Tutor for a client in Islip, NY. This is a freelance, part-time, one-to-one general language course with a total of 50 hours, with each session lasting two hours. The student is a beginner and the motivation for learning is 'University major'. The schedule is twice per week, on any weekday around 3pm. The location can be the Bayport Blue Point Library or the teacher's office/home in Islip, NY. The start date is as soon as possible. Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability, and the hourly rate is negotiable.

Requirements

• Native Chinese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Valid work permit/visa.
• Live within 20 miles of Islip, NY.
• Submit CV with references (if available).
• Provide availability.
• Provide earliest possible start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one Chinese language training to a beginner student.
• Conduct two-hour sessions, twice per week.
• Adapt schedule and location based on availability and client needs.
