About The Position

We are looking for individuals who speak both Chinese Mandarin and English fluently and are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the community by helping those who do not speak English. If you meet the requirements listed below and are looking for the flexibility of working on an as-needed basis, we are interested in seeing your resume. This Is for In-Person Interpreting.

Requirements

• Fluent in both Chinese Mandarin and English.
• Have informal or professional interpretation experience.
• Have at least a two-year degree (or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Must pass training and testing.

Nice To Haves

• Interpreting or language proficiency certification.
• 6 months+ experience.
• Community interpreting experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between Chinese Mandarin and English for individuals who do not speak English.
• Provide in-person interpreting services.
