About The Position

A Reviver consecutive, over-the-phone interpreter facilitates effective communication between people who speak different languages. The interpreter listens to a speaker in one language and renders the speech in another language after a brief pause, bridging language gaps and ensuring clarity and understanding in various over-the-phone situations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience or 3,000 hours of active interpretation.
• Proficiency in at least two languages: the source and target languages.
• Proof of English proficiency at the “technical proficiency” level on the national ILR rating or equivalent.
• Pass the Mock Call assessment.
• An updated resume showing relevant interpretation experience.
• A criminal background check in English.
• Technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments, including a headset, stable internet, and a laptop.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation during phone calls, meetings, conferences, interviews, and other situations.
• Listen carefully to the speaker in the source language and accurately convey the message in the target language.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout the interpretation process.
• Respect HIPAA and comply with Reviver's protocols, policies, and industry best practices as required by Reviver's clients.
