About The Position

Tom’s Mechanical is seeking an experienced Chiller, Boiler, and Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a highly skilled professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service while troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment. Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial chillers and/or boilers
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, pumps, and associated controls
• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work safely on ladders, rooftops, and in mechanical rooms

Nice To Haves

• Experience servicing commercial chillers and boilers
• Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and hydronic systems
• Texas Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician Registration or Certification

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, and boilers
• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, hydronic, and control system issues
• Complete detailed service reports using mobile field software
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations with customers
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and inventory
• Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices
• Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation as scheduled
