About The Position

The Childwatch Leader will assist in planning, supervising, and implementing Childwatch programs in accordance with standard operating procedures. This role involves providing quality care and supervision to children, ensuring a safe environment for them to thrive. Responsibilities include tracking attendance, guiding behaviors positively, assisting with activities and lesson plans, and ensuring the program meets Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) standards. The role also includes setting up and cleaning the program area and providing exceptional customer service to children and families.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old
Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance, if over 18 years old
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid work permit required if a minor
Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire
Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire

Previous work experience in related role preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, supervising, and implementing Childwatch programs in accordance with standard operating procedures
Provide quality care and supervision to children (visual, proactive, interactive)
Provide a safe environment for all children to thrive
Track attendance and ensure a valid membership is on file
Guide behaviors using positive methods, keeping in mind each child’s individual needs
Assist in supervising activities and lesson plans
Ensure the program is delivering Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) standards
Set up and clean-up of the program area including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, trash removal, etc
Provides exceptional customer service and fosters connections with children and families
