CHILDWATCH LEADER
About The Position
The Childwatch Leader will assist in planning, supervising, and implementing Childwatch programs in accordance with standard operating procedures. This role involves providing quality care and supervision to children, ensuring a safe environment for them to thrive, and tracking attendance. The leader will guide behaviors using positive methods, keeping in mind each child’s individual needs, and assist in supervising activities and lesson plans. A key responsibility is ensuring the program adheres to Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) standards. The role also includes setting up and cleaning the program area, which may involve vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and trash removal. Providing exceptional customer service and fostering connections with children and families is also a core part of the job.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance, if over 18 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid work permit required if a minor
- Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire
- Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire

Responsibilities

- Provide a safe environment for all children to thrive
- Track attendance and ensure a valid membership is on file
- Guide behaviors using positive methods, keeping in mind each child’s individual needs
- Assist in supervising activities and lesson plans
- Ensure the program is delivering Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) standards
- Set up and clean-up of the program area including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, trash removal, etc
- Provides exceptional customer service and fosters connections with children and families
