About The Position

The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver (JCCGV) is currently seeking creative, energetic, and passionate sports instructors to lead and facilitate afternoon, evening, and weekend programs for children and youth (ages 3+). Specifically for the upcoming session we are looking to fill a programming spot on Thursdays at 4pm. You are an experienced coach with a passion for working with children and youth.

Requirements

• Experience working with children and youth
• Reliable, communicative, and professional
• Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable
• Comfortable communicating with families
• Clearing a criminal record check for working with vulnerable people is mandatory

Nice To Haves

• First Aid certification is an asset

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead program sessions (with support from the Children and Youth Coordinator)
• Identify and request necessary supplies
• Set up and clean up
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants
• Communicate with parents and guardians as needed
• Attend JCC staff training sessions as required
