The Children’s Therapist provides comprehensive, trauma-informed therapy to survivors of domestic violence, helping them build safety and control, strengthen problem-solving and coping skills, and understand domestic violence and its effects. The role uses a strengths-based approach to provide crisis management, safety planning, advocacy, resource referrals, and support. The therapist reports directly to the Vice President of Children’s Services and works closely with other therapists, case managers, and direct-service staff. The role requires at least 20 hours of direct client service weekly, typically across approximately 22–25 cases, and flexibility to travel offsite with clients to appointments or community resources. Team members are expected to adapt to an evolving environment and work autonomously in a deadline-oriented setting. This is a full-time, salaried position starting at $46,000. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including one recurring late evening (for example, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Flexibility is required to meet client needs and support special projects, which may occasionally involve additional evening or weekend hours. The role includes scheduled on-call phone services for mental health crises.
