Children’s STEM Class Instructor | $20+/Hour
About The Position
Little Medical School of Savannah is seeking energetic and dependable instructors to lead health and medicine STEM-based enrichment classes for children. This is a fun, active part-time job with a flexible schedule, ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children. No prior coaching, teaching, or medical experience is necessary, as the company provides paid training, prepared lesson plans, equipment, and ongoing support. The role is well-suited for college students, teachers, coaches, childcare professionals, healthcare students, retirees, and anyone passionate about helping children learn, move, and build confidence. Classes are held in the greater Savannah area and lower South Carolina, requiring approximately 5 to 10 hours per week, primarily during select weekday mornings and afternoons. Opportunities for increased hours, potentially up to 30 per week, may arise after training.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Enjoy working with children
- Energetic, dependable, and comfortable leading a group
- Available during select weekday mornings or afternoons
- Reliable transportation
- Able to pass a background check
- Able to follow lesson plans and program procedures
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children (e.g., coaching, teaching, babysitting, daycare, camps, youth programs, church programs, or after-school activities)
- Experience in education, healthcare, or medicine
- CPR or First Aid certification
Responsibilities
- Lead fun, age-appropriate enrichment classes for children ages 2 and older
- Teach introductory health, medicine, and STEM concepts
- Follow easy-to-use lesson plans and curriculum provided by our programs
- Encourage children and create a positive class environment
- Set up and organize equipment and class materials
- Communicate professionally with school staff, families, and team members
