About The Position

New Reflexions is seeking caring, compassionate individuals to join their dynamic Response Services team in North Wales. This organization provides exceptional, integrated care and education to help vulnerable and complex children achieve their full potential. The Response Services team focuses on short-term, activity-based placements for children with trauma, leading to emotional and behavioral challenges. The role involves supporting young people up to 18 years old, delivering outdoor, activity-led learning, and working closely with clinical professionals. The position requires adherence to a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including sleep-ins, as part of a small, dedicated team in residential settings. New Reflexions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving Licence
  • Access to own vehicle
  • Passionate about helping children
  • Able to get to a rural work location
  • Able to complete a rota pattern with Sleep ins
  • Enhanced DBS check with relevant barred list check(s)
  • Other employment clearances

Nice To Haves

  • QCF Level 3 & 5 Diploma or Residential Childcare or equivalent (after 6 months probationary period)

Responsibilities

  • Support young people (up to 18) in short-term placements, helping them feel safe, valued, and respected.
  • Deliver outdoor, activity-led learning—including canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, and more—designed to build confidence and resilience.
  • Work closely with clinical professionals to assess emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Follow a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including sleep-ins, as part of a small, dedicated team in residential settings.
