This role ensures all children meet play area guidelines (height and potty-training requirements) and actively supervises the space to keep everything running smoothly.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in child care or related experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.
  • First Aid and CPR/AED certified or ability to become certified.
  • Ability to comfort children of all ages.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Fluent in the English language.
  • Ability to wear non-slip shoes to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greets parents and children immediately upon arrival.
  • Creates a friendly, professional, and positive first impression.
  • Responsible for handling the arrival and departure of children to the play area by checking them in, collecting identification and ensuring that both the children and the parent/guardian receive the correct bracelet prior to entering the play area and upon departure, confirming that children are returned to the correct parent/guardian leaving the play area.
  • Monitor’s children in the play area.
  • Keeps toys and play area clean and organized.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the Children’s Play area to ensure the over-all safety of the children entrusted to our care.
  • Responds to any emergency involving children in the care of Oakes Farms Seed to Table.
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary environment for working staff and the children.
  • Supports children’s age-appropriate emotional situations and addresses situations as needed if signs of problems are identified.
  • Notifies parent/guardian and/or management if an issue or problem were to occur.
  • Communicates concise and appropriate information throughout assigned shift with parent/guardian, co-workers, and supervisor.
