About The Position

Children’s Mental Health LBHP will work with children between the ages of 4-18 in a school or office based setting with possible home-based services as needed. The LBHP is expected to use evidence based treatment to families with children that have behavioral and emotional issues. LBHP needs to demonstrate an ability to collaborate with school administration as well as community stakeholder. The LBHP will assist the administrative staff in maintaining the guidelines of the program policies and procedures for client treatment.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, and/or Addictions Counseling
  • Licensure or Candidacy in the State of Oklahoma in counseling required; Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • 6 months or more of experience in working with children and families
  • Advanced knowledge in completing mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Willing and able to demonstrate cultural humility and work with diverse populations
  • CPR certified or within 90 days
  • HIPAA and Privacy Act trained
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
  • Must have a clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Use evidence based treatment to families with children that have behavioral and emotional issues.
  • Demonstrate an ability to collaborate with school administration as well as community stakeholder.
  • Assist the administrative staff in maintaining the guidelines of the program policies and procedures for client treatment.
  • Provide Individual, Group, and Family Counseling.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Osage Nation.
  • Exhibit problem solving skills which remain inside the values and policies of the organization.
  • Maintain strong patient chart documentation skills.
  • Prioritize and multitask independently.
  • Plan concepts and processes including but not limited to program planning.
  • Learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions as required by the grant.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
