About The Position

As the Children’s Center Food Service Worker, you will work under the general supervision of the Assistant Director to receive and distribute prepared meals from Dining Services. You will be responsible for maintaining records, including temperature logs, menu adjustments, inventory, and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) reporting requirements. In this role, you will prepare food substitutions for allergies or intolerances, deliver meals to classrooms, and clean the kitchen and wash dishes after meal service. You will also ensure that all food service operations meet safe, sanitary, and quality control standards.

Requirements

  • Possession of, or eligible for at time of hire, a food handler’s permit; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Satisfactory background check through the Washington Department of Children, Youth, and Families at time of hire.
  • Proof of measles (MMR) vaccination, or other acceptable documentation as established by the Washington Department of Health and Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 43.216.690.
  • Negative tuberculosis (TB) test within previous 12 months, in accordance with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 110-300-0105.

Nice To Haves

  • SERV safe certification.
