About The Position

The NIC Children’s Center is seeking a passionate and organized Classroom Teacher to help nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young children. This role involves working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers and playing a key part in their growth and development. The ideal candidate will communicate clearly, solve problems with care and patience, and thrive in a fast-paced classroom environment. They should be confident in managing daily tasks, thinking critically, and balancing multiple priorities. Presenting ideas to small groups, maintaining detailed records, and using basic technology are also important aspects of the role. The NIC Children’s Center values inclusivity, kindness, and a team spirit, seeking someone who brings warmth, energy, and a sense of humor.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or Applied Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent defined as at least 60 college/university credits with at least 30 college credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD), Elementary Education (ElEd), or Early Childhood Special Education).
  • A minimum of one year related experience.
  • On-going education toward a bachelor's degree is required, with a completion deadline within 24 months.
  • Register with Idaho STARS and participate in the professional development system.
  • Maintain current Infant/child & Adult CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Problem-solving skills with care and patience.
  • Confidence in navigating daily tasks.
  • Ability to think on your feet.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable presenting ideas to small groups.
  • Ability to maintain detailed records.
  • Proficiency with basic technology like computers and printers.
