Children's Art Teacher - Bloomfield Studio
About The Position
Kidcreate Studio is seeking talented and enthusiastic art instructors to teach their Kidcreate Academy art curriculum at the Bloomfield Studio. This role is designed for educators passionate about working with children and capable of teaching foundational art techniques in a fun and supportive setting. Kidcreate Studio specializes in art and science classes, camps, and birthday parties for children, aiming to foster a positive, self-esteem-building environment where kids can create masterpieces, learn art concepts, and experiment with various materials. The classes are age-specific and tailored to individual student needs.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in drawing, painting, color theory, and composition
- A PDF art portfolio of 5-10 works or a portfolio website demonstrating required skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching or working with children
- Comfortable leading groups and managing a classroom
- Able to teach art techniques and build skills
- A degree or coursework in Art Education, Fine Arts, Design, or a related field is preferred
- Art teachers, teaching artists, private art tutors, and/or art education students are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Teach structured art lessons that develop skills progressively over time
- Facilitate engaging classes for children of various ages and skill levels
- Demonstrate drawing, painting, and other art techniques
- Break complex skills into clear, age-appropriate steps
- Provide constructive, encouraging feedback to students
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
