Children's Art Teacher
About The Position
This is a PART-TIME position where you will share your love of ART with children. The role requires someone who can command a classroom, is reliable and friendly, and believes that art should be fun and messy with materials like SLIME, CLAY, PAINT, & GLITTER! You will spread the joy of art education while having fun and making lasting memories. Kidcreate Studio is a fast-growing, locally owned company with studios all over the United States. We specialize in children's art classes, camps, and art-themed birthday parties, providing a positive, self-esteem-building environment for children to explore the visual arts. Our classes are age-specific and tailored to provide each student with the best curriculum. We are passionate about introducing children to the arts, teaching art concepts, and experimenting with different art materials in a fun and safe learning environment.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have a reliable car of your own.
- Be willing to clean up messes.
- Be a highly dependable individual.
- Have excellent reading comprehension skills.
- Be proactive.
- Be able to carry on tasks with little direction.
- Be enthusiastic, dependable, creative, and adore working with kids.
- Be able to maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Be able to work well with others.
- Don't mind cleaning up after others.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States of America.
Nice To Haves
- Art and/or education background preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) fluency preferred.
- Experience working with groups of children, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interact with students and parents/guardians during art classes and camps.
- Contribute to a fun learning environment while effectively managing a classroom.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Work well with others.
- Clean up after others.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times.
- Prep time, class setup, class time, and clean-up time.
