About The Position

Euro School of Tennis is seeking an enthusiastic after-school dance teacher to lead engaging classes for elementary school students at various schools across the Bay Area. The instructor helps children ages 5–10 build confidence, coordination, and creativity through age-appropriate dance activities and routines in a fun, supportive environment. Classes are generally 1–1.5 hours long and may start between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Two or more days per week are preferred; the posting lists approximately 2–5 hours weekly. Classes typically have approximately 8–10 students. The instructor attends up to two days of unpaid training or shadowing to learn the program. This is an in-person, part-time position. Compensation is listed as $50–$65 per class and also as $50.00–$65.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 19 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Enjoy working with children and be able to manage a class.
Be reliable, punctual, flexible, professional, and enthusiastic.
Have strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Have reliable transportation across assigned Bay Area locations.
Be able to complete required employment screening and documentation.
Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Be local to the US or already have the necessary working visa; the employer does not provide visa assistance.

Nice To Haves

Dance teaching or performance experience is preferred but not required.
Availability for two or more days per week is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage classes of approximately 8–10 students ages 5–10 in grades K–5.
Teach age-appropriate dance activities and routines in a fun, supportive environment.
Attend up to two days of unpaid training or shadowing to learn the program.
Prepare and set up required equipment.
Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out.
Communicate with parents and school staff as needed and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
Take session photos in accordance with program guidance.
