About The Position

We are seeking Childcare Teachers to join the New Horizon Academy team in Overland Park, KS! We are looking for teachers for classrooms including Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, and Pre-K. New Horizon Academy has been a leader in early care and education for over fifty years, fostering a culture of continuous improvement based on what's best for children and staff. We are passionate advocates for early childhood resources and recognize the critical importance of a child's first five years for social and emotional brain development.

Requirements

• Meet state requirements for teacher qualification as defined by the Kansas Child Care Licensing Program.
• Be able to work a full-time schedule, Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:30am-6:00pm.
• Have positive work ethic, and a team-centered attitude.
• Be willing to learn and grow as an educator.
• Enjoy working with children!
• Meet or exceed state qualifications for the listed position.
• Has a passion for working with young children.
• Can satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
• Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Interest in beginning or continuing their education in early childhood education or a related field.
