About The Position

We are seeking a Childcare Teacher to join the New Horizon Academy team in Olathe, KS! We are looking for staff in the Infant, Two's, and Float classrooms. New Horizon Academy has been a leader in early care and education for over fifty years, fostering a culture of continuous improvement based on what's best for children and staff. We are passionate advocates for early childhood resources, recognizing the critical importance of a child's first five years for social and emotional brain development. This role involves inspiring, encouraging, and celebrating a child's love of learning every day.

Requirements

• Meet state requirements for teacher qualification as defined by the Kansas Child Care Licensing Program.
• Be able to work a full-time schedule, Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:30 am - 6:00 pm.
• Have a positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
• Be willing to learn and grow as an educator.
• Enjoy working with children!
• Meet or exceed state qualifications for the listed position.
• Have a passion for working with young children.
• Satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
• Have documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Have the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff, as well as to understand state licensing regulations and company policies.

Nice To Haves

• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Interest in beginning or continuing their education in early childhood education or a related field.
