About The Position
Join Chambliss Center for Children as a Childcare Teacher working with children ages infant through 4 years old in a unique early learning classroom located inside Hamilton County Schools. This position offers a full-time schedule during the school year with time off during school breaks and holidays. Paid training and support are provided, along with the opportunity to gain experience in early childhood education. These classrooms operate inside Hamilton County Schools but are managed by Chambliss Center for Children, creating an innovative partnership that helps expand access to high-quality early childhood education.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a fingerprint background check
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and coworkers
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children is helpful but not required
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing environment
- Assist with classroom activities that support children's learning and development
- Help maintain an organized and welcoming classroom
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Support the teaching team with daily classroom responsibilities
