About The Position
We are seeking a FLOAT CHILDCARE TEACHER to join our team at New Horizon Academy! You'll love teaching with us, just as our children will love learning with you! Requirements
- Minimum of 16 qualifying semester credits or a CDA to be considered teacher-qualified under MN Rule 3.
- Able to work a flexible, full-time schedule, Monday-Friday.
- Positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
- Willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Meets or exceeds state qualifications for the listed position.
- Must meet position qualification requirements as outlined by the state department guidelines.
- Can satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
- Can provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff, as well as to understand state licensing regulations and company policies.
Nice To Haves
- Previous childcare experience preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience in Early Childhood Education or related field of work.
Responsibilities
- Float between classrooms as needed.
- Assist in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities.
- Support lead teachers in daily classroom operations.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies.
