About The Position
Salem Montessori School (SMS) is seeking a passionate and supportive Childcare Teacher Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for a self-directed learner eager to make a significant impact in a child's life by learning and applying the Montessori method of education. The primary focus is on the well-being and holistic development (physical, social/emotional, and cognitive) of each child. Staff members work collaboratively as a team, serving as positive role models.
Requirements
- Ages 18 or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to be certified
- Ability to be on your feet
- Ability to lift and move
- Ability to be outdoors
- Pass a post-offer pre-employment background process including a Basic TB and fingerprint test, and completing an online training program.

- Experience with children
- Montessori experience
Responsibilities
- Provide basic needs for children in a caring manner
- Help with end-of-the-day pick up
- Conduct chores apart from child care
