About The Position

Salem Montessori School (SMS) is seeking passionate and supportive members for their team to serve as Childcare Teacher Assistants. The primary focus is on the well-being and development of every child, encompassing their physical, social/emotional, and cognitive growth. Staff members work collaboratively as a team, acting as positive role models and applying the Montessori method of education. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience with children of various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and those aged 3-6 years.

Requirements

• Ages 18 or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to be certified
• Ability to be on your feet
• Ability to lift and move
• Ability to be outdoors
• Pass a post-offer pre-employment background process including a Basic TB and fingerprint test, and completing an online training program.

• Experience with children
• Montessori experience

Responsibilities

• Provide basic needs for children in a caring manner
• Help with end-of-the-day pick up
• Conduct chores apart from child care
